Dear Liz and Danny. Thank you for a wonderful week. The barn is beautiful and has served us so well over the past week. Our 7 year old, Edward, loved the mezzanine and called it his “peace room”.

Thank you for a tremendous stay here at gorgeous Dale View. You have truly thought of everything we could possibly need for our stay. We enjoyed a full week with great trips to Whitby, York, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Sandsend and Runswick. Will sincerely miss the incredible scenic views. Hope to return again.

Our first visit back for 3 years, fantastic as ever. The highlights included 1 Surf lessons with Whitby surf school, great instruction for the kids 2 Yorkshire Cycle Hub at Fryup with some really good trails 3 Dalby mountain bike routes, plenty of trails for all abilities 4 Eskdale pub Castleton, great food but not cheap 5 And of course the house was brilliant! – Great stay

Dear Danny and Liz Thank you for our stay in this beautiful barn! The view will not be forgotten! And thank you for going above and beyond in accommodating Dad. We will remember being here on the hottest day the UK has ever seen – I think it was 37degrees. Highlights of our week (besides relaxing here of course) were trips to Runswick Bay and Whitby – we loved the Rusty Shears for brunch (dog and wheelchair friendly) Trenchers for fish and chips and seeing Whitby Abbey. I also enjoyed my runs from the barn despite the hills! Thank you again

Thank you for the lovely stay in your barn again! We have had an amazing time both at the barn and going around Yorkshire. The boys have enjoyed the space running around on the lawn and they loved choosing toys from your toyshop:-) It was lovely seeing you both again and we hope to come back in the future.

Thank you Liz and Danny for your help and suggestions. What a lovely place you live in, the views are fantastic! We had a nice week revisiting places we haven’t been to for several years. Found some nice places to eat of an evening especially the Fox and Hounds, Sinnington (superb) also the Wheatsheaf at Egton, the meal was very good, the outside and inside doesn’t show how good the food actually is? We really enjoyed the views from the barn and felt comfortable. Thank you for our anniversary card, cake and Prosecco!

Danny and Liz. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful barn!! It is clear to see that you have invested a lot of time and love to create such a lovely hamlet, which you and all your guests are privileged to call “Home”. A big thank you for making “George” our Bernise mountain dog so welcome. The walks from the barn are simply stunning. We also enjoyed the walks from Danby Lodge visitor centre. Which is also a lovely collection of houses covered in climbing roses.

Dear Liz and Danny, Many thanks for a glorious stay. The views are spectacular and the house is beautiful. We’ve been blessed with great weather and our children have enjoyed adventurous escapes into the countryside. Thanks for allowing them to borrow the toys from the games room. We hope to return again in the future.

Dear Liz and Danny, Thank you for this glorious week. From very early morn to late night dusk this valley is a magical place to be and the lawn and patio outside the ideal spot from which to take it all in. Cuckoos, lapwings, pheasant and grouse during this morning’s walk. Then watching the Beacon lit last night for the Queens Platinum Jubilee. We’ve appreciated your beautifully designed barn and even more your gracious hospitality.

What a fantastic place! We had a wonderful week at Crag House Farm and were looked after extremely well by the owners Liz and Danny (Thank you!) Amazingly peaceful setting and lots of wildlife spotted from the garden including Roedeer, Barn Owls, Cuckoos etc. Had some great day trips to Robin Hoods Bay, Goathland, NYM Steam Railway from Pickering to Whitby. Kids had lots of fun in the garden. Great to be back in Yorkshire!

Dear Danny and Liz. Yet another wonderful holiday in Dale View! Walks straight from the door, outstanding scenery, the haunting cry of the curlew on the moors. We love it here! Dale View is to die for and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality oh and the cake and bubbly – what a treat:-)

Dear Liz and Danny. Thank you so much for a memorable stay! All the previous messages all say the same: It’s beautiful!  Everywhere you go there is a stunning view. These idyllic Yorkshire Moors are truly a sight to behold. Woofer walks along the Esk valley, visiting art galleries in Helmsley, great walks and ice cream eating in Whitby – wonderful. Lots of tearooms and a few visits to Danby bakery for delicious cakes that moved the belt buckle!! We enjoyed our drives – travelling down roads admiring the view heart warming and sensational! This was a lovely Easter holiday destination that we will recommend (have recommended) to friends and family. We have had an incredible time. We will be seeing you and Beacon View again.

Thank you Liz & Danny for a wonderful place to stay. Dale View Barn was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable in every respect.  We made full use of the lovely gardening and its outdoor seating area with its stunning views. The little thoughtful touches were appreciated! Fragrant candle, jewellery stand, Penhaligon toiletries, Harrogate coffee and Prosecco in the fridge:-) The location is perfect for both coast and moor. We had a fab holiday.

What a wonderful place to stay, outside and in! Such a relaxing space which was so comfortable, amazing and cosy, the barn fitted us like a glove. Thank you for the little touches like gifts in the fridge, the cakes were gorgeous with little snowmen on the top.  The weather has been mixed, but thanks to you both, this has not stopped us having a fabulous holiday.  This year we chose the UK to spend our main holiday in and we have not been disappointed!  We all wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

After a glorious week in your fabulous barn, we considered barricading ourselves in for a longer stay but will now plan a future visit to Beacon View.  You have ensured that everything makes for a perfect stay;  your friendliness, the wonderful cake, Prosecco, coffee…you even ensured that we experienced Yorkshire weather at it’s best!  The barn conversion is perfect, providing a cosy and comfortable haven set in the grandness of the surrounding countryside.  Thank you.  Our week was spent taking gentle walks through the stunning countryside, visits along the spectacular coastline and just reading and visiting cafes to eat delicious cakes.  We think our stay at Beacon View has been the best we have ever had in a holiday cottage.  Thank you.

Liz and Danny say thank you very much to two young guests for their following comments:- I really liked Castle Howard, especially the rose gardens because it has lots of paths to take, perfect for hide and seek!  The play room was my favourite part of the house it was really fun to play our games up there.  I hope we come back soon because I loved it here ? I liked climbing a mountain that was really fun.  This is the best barn ever and I think you would love it too ?

Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful barn – what a perfect base to explore the area.  Our girls commandeered the gallery as their play room and would have been happy to stay put all week.  But we did manage to drag them away and highlights include: Adventure playground at Castle Howard (although hide + seek in the walled garden was even better).  The Dracula show at Whitby Abbey – even our 6 year old loved it.  Finding Devil’s toe nail fossils at Saltburn-by-the-Sea and wellies on for the circular walk at Falling Foss and the walk up Roseberry Topping – both perfect for little legs. We didn’t manage to fit in Dalby Forest, Runswick Bay, Flamingoland… I guess we need to come back.

Thank you for making our holiday and stay at Beacon View a relaxing break.  It was a well equipped holiday home so welcoming – you thought of everything thank you.  The setting is perfect – even the sheep came to say hello. A huge thank you from all of us.  P.S The cake was delicious

What a lovely experience from start to finish!  Thanks for making booking to departure great. We really appreciated the care towards the children, feeding the doves and bringing round extra toys etc. It’s a lovely spot from which to holiday and drink in the views.  The cottage is well equipped with lovely touches which we all appreciated.  Wishing you all the best.
