December in and around the North York Moors National Park can be a snowy wonderland, a bright crisp winter’s day or a star sparkling night, whatever the weather there’s a warm hearty glow from Crag House Farm. We’re getting ready for the festivities – The 13ft Christmas trees have been ordered, decorations brought down from the loft, holly growing well all over the farm and we have an excellent – secret – supply of mistletoe! Our wonderful local pubs have their fires roaring and tasty menus full of local fresh game, fish and Yorkshire bon homie.

A Crag House Farm Christmas is something very special, but don’t be disillusioned when you find that we are fully booked this year because a winter break before Christmas on these glorious North York Moors is an opportunity to have fun preparing for Christmas shopping, exploring and discovering that you’ll want to come back here again. Once Christmas is passed – and for some people this is the best time when the New Year is well on its way. An early 2019 winter break gives you the opportunity to test out the new hat scarf and gloves present, blow those cobwebs away, stride these moors and beaches there’s so much to see and do up here, so start the year as you mean to go, a dose of Yorkshire fresh air is a tonic with or without a delicious rarebird’s gin:-)

Cosy pubs and cafes are the order of the day

Cheers m’dears and a very Merry Christmas

Season’s Greetings from Danny and Liz
