Our No.1 recommendation ( following a chill out cuppa and one of our homemade cakes or a scone of course) is a trip to the North York Moors National Park Information Centre, Danby Lodge in Danby. It is just a 5 minute drive or a 45 minute walk via the friendly local Fox and Hounds, crossing the Esk Valley railway line and over the River Esk.
