The tumbling waterfall of Mallyan Spout helped put Goathland on the map as a tourist village way back in the nineteenth century. Since that time the pretty village of Goathland has claimed fame through appearances as Aidensfield in the popular TV show Heartbeat as well as being home to ‘Hogwarts Railway Station’ of Harry Potter fame! This lovely moorland village lies on the busy Pickering to Whitby North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway line.
