New Year’s Eve parties in both the barns and at Crag House Farm made for great festive fun inside and out.  We welcomed guests from Belgium, Leeds and Danby.
January came in crisp, white and snowy.  Liz thought it was the perfect occasion to try out her new Christmas plastic ski’s in the back garden but as you can see more practice is required!
We give a big shout to NYCC who keep our road clear of snow all through the winter.
Thank you 🙂
Keeping the home fires burning ensured we were all snug and warm when retreating inside after some wonderful winter walks.  Such as our walk to Duck Bridge the wonderful 14th century packhorse bridge below Danby Castle. Did you know Danby Castle was the former home of Katherine Parr who became the 6th wife to Henry V111.  We had a lovely family walk with our grandchildren when we were celebrating a 5th birthday just look at that wonderful  ‘Frozen’ castle cake, clever Mum.
On January 10th Dale View Barn was featured in the Yorkshire Post Property section. It tells the story of the barns award winning renovation. You can read the article in our ‘Latest News’ section.
We are really excited about the 2015 Tour de Yorkshire cycle race. The first stage is from Bridlington to Scarborough and it comes through Castleton and Danby on the 1st of May. The villages will be celebrating in style with street parties and a carnival atmosphere as the peloton travels through the glorious moors scenery.
Half term is just around the corner and lots of interesting events and attractions are opening up.  Ryedale Folk Museum opened today.  Find many more attractions at Welcome to Yorkshire and North York Moors National Park

Happy New Year to you all.
