THE BARNS – ACCOMMODATION

Danny and Liz hope you enjoy browsing Crag House Farm website. We live in the farmhouse across the lane from the barns, on hand and always happy to help or advise on local info if required.

We are often asked if the barns share any facilities and the answer is no. The two detached barns are totally separate from each other with no shared facilities or grounds.

Both barns have been awarded the prestigious National Park design award. They are grade ll listed, eco friendly, cosy yet spacious with stunning interiors and views .. Which one will you choose?

THE BARNS – LOCATION

Location, location, location we’ve got it in spades. The barns are situated down a secluded lane surrounded by fields of sheep and lambs and some ponies too.  Danby Dale is in the centre of the North York Moors National Park and enjoys Dark Skies status. The views of the wild high heather moorland are ever changing with the seasons.

This is a haven for wildlife, Barn owls glide silently over the fields, deers bark and our noisy Tawny’s nest in the beech trees behind the house. listen out for the Curlew, Lapwing and the Lark.

Yorkshire’s wonderful heritage coast is a short 15 minute drive away. Saltburn, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay, Scarborough, Staithes – and the list goes on. Each seaside venue offers a very different array of experiences

Walking and cycling routes from your doorstep, delicious tea rooms, friendly local pubs some Michelin stars are close by. Steam trains, castles, forests and theme parks, bustling foodie Yorkshire market towns and the Historic City of York can all be part of your Yorkshire holiday experience.

Freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream or a home made cake will be waiting for you, along with a welcome cup of Yorkshire tea or maybe you’d prefer a bottle of fizz ready to crack open when you walk through the door, it’ll be here! So just kick off your shoes, let the children spill out into the garden to explore, you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive.
